Ken Brown – Chairman; Dorin Construction
Ken founded Dorin in 1981 and in February 2007 purchased the shares of his retiring partner to become 100% owner of the Group. He has spent his entire career in the construction industry; and previously worked for Brims and the Bowey Group before setting up Dorin. He has an extensive knowledge of the industry and is the president of the Newcastle Northumberland & North Durham Association of the NFB. Away from work Ken enjoys fell walking, travel, golf and woodworking.

Richard Brown –Managing Director; Dorin Construction
Richard rejoined Dorin in 2005 having spent 10 years working in professional services with PwC, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked in Corporate Finance. Richard specialises in financial planning and he is also responsible for our residential and commercial developments. Away from work Richard enjoys rugby, skiing, most sports and trying to play the electric guitar.

Mick McHugh – Construction Director; Dorin Construction
Mick joined Dorin in 2005 as Construction Manager, in 2006 he was promoted to the board and also became a full member of the CIOB Mick has spent his career in the industry starting out as an apprentice in 1980. Prior to joining Dorin he held construction management positions with Kendall Cross and FHM. Away from work Mick enjoys, squash, golf, watching football and  spending time with his family. 

Richard Osborne – Estimating Director; Dorin Holdings
Originally from London, Richard worked throughout the UK on civil engineering projects before settling in the North East. Following a period of employment with Bowey Construction, Richard joined Dorin in 1985 and was appointed to the Board in 1990. Away from work Richard enjoys golfing, walking and socialising with family and friends.

Alastair Graham – Commercial Director; Dorin Construction
Alastair joined Dorin in 2006 as Commercial Manager, his strong leadership led to him joining the board in January 2008. A member of the RICS, Alastair has been in the construction industry since 1982 and has a wide variety of experience. Prior to joining Dorin he held senior positions at Border Construction and Thomas Weatherald. Away from work Alastair enjoys playing golf and spending time in his Morgan sports car.

Dave Nichols – Company Secretary; Dorin Holdings
Dave joined Dorin in 1988 as Company Secretary and has been a key member of the management team since. Dave manages the accounts function of the Group, looking after all our companies. Prior to joining Dorin, Dave learned his trade at Bowey. Away from work Dave enjoys time with his family and is a staunch Newcastle United fan.
